Nina talks about "Katerina"

Most Vampire Diaries fans know by now that Nina Dobrev has Bulgarian roots. So it should probably come as little surprise to anyone that Nina gave a helping hand in the Bulgarian translations in Katerina, as she reveals in an interview with theToronto Sun:

“I called my mom, and she and I translated it,” Dobrev said of the Bulgarian dialogue in the episode titled Katerina.

“I think the writers had used an internet translator and it was so funny. All those online translators are never right. So we did it. I translated my own dialogue, but I called my mom just to confirm I was right.´

Casting for Klaus has begun

We should all be getting excited! The casting for Klaus has begun! He will be the next big bad in our favourite show so they'll surely cast someone awesome! probably even a big name... Klaus is very likely to appear on episode 2x16... that would be in March if I'm not mistaken.

This is the CW's official description for Klaus:

"Klaus is late-20′s to mid-30′s. He’s handsome, charming, intelligent, with a sharp wit. He’s the only person who can out-Damon Damon. That’s because he’s got a thousand years on him. Klaus is one of the Originals. Possibly the oldest. But you’d never know it because he keeps up with the times."

Three adjectives describe him very well: handsome, charming and intelligent. I dare say that the only sight of Klaus will take our breath away! It is a pity Klaus will be such a deadly character who will threaten our beloved Salvatore brothers and the whole town of Mystic Falls.

If you've read the books, you surely know who Klaus is and you're probably as excited as I am to know who will play such a role. But if you haven't you must be wondering: "who the hell is Klaus???"

Klaus in the books ***spoiler alert***

Klaus is very Nordic in appearance, with electric blue eyes and short, close-cropped platinum blond hair. He is described as being handsome despite the fact that his features are often contorted in madness. He wears a dusty long tan coat.Klaus is extremely deranged, and the line between his evil and his madness is very blurry. When pressed, he is deadly serious and reminds everyone about his unfathomable old age, but most of the time he seems unnaturally chipper, and his evil deeds during Dark Reunion are always tinged with irony. He refers to everyone as "sport," he writes "Goodnight, sweetheart" on Vickie's mirror after brutally murdering her and leaving that same song playing in her room, and he kills (or nearly kills) Stefan with the same white ash wood spear that was intended for him. His mood changes from cheerful and amused to absolutely enraged in seconds, and he is very unpredictable. Despite his seemingly erratic and scattered personality, he seems to be a patient and methodical killer capable of elaborate plans.

"How long?" said Stefan, unimpressed.

"A long time..." The blond man's gaze turned dreamy, as if looking back over the years. "I was tearing pretty white throats when your ancestors were building the Colosseum. I killed with Alexander's army. I fought in the Trojan War. I'm old, Salvatore. I'm one of the Originals. In my earliest memories I carried a bronze axe."[...]

There's even less known about Klaus' history than Damon or Katherine's. Pretty much the only known points of Klaus' life are those listed above, and the points where his timeline intersects Katherine's. So, to summarize...Klaus is of unknown age, but is at least from the bronze age. He seems to have fought in every major war through time, most notably in Alexander the Great's army, in the Trojan War, and in the wars that led to the Roman Empire's downfall (on the Germanic side). He then decided to stick around the general area of Germany where, sometime in the 15th century, he turned a dying young Katherine into a vampire and then left her to her own devices.Nothing more is known about Klaus' whereabouts since then, except that he spent a lot of time with Katherine after she ran away from the Salvatore brothers, and that she believed that she had killed him at some point. He may have been the vampire who attacked Meredith's grandfather, or he may have simply manipulated Meredith's grandfather to mislead the cast of Dark Reunion. His vernacular suggests that he's spent a lot of time in modern America, though - certainly enough to pick up slang like "sport" and use it comfortably and casually, and know (and use with effective irony) the song Goodnight, Sweetheart. Klaus arrives in Fell's Church in 1992, where he somehow comes in contact with Tyler and helps him become a werewolf. After that, he uses Tyler and his own enhanced vampire powers to play with the Salvatore brothers, and their human friends. He murders Vickie in an extremely violent manner and offers Damon a truce if he'll keep out of his way while he kills Stefan. Klaus also kidnaps Caroline and holds her hostage as bait to get Stefan to fight him. In the final showdown against everyone, all of the weapons used against him fail, Klaus more or less kills Stefan, and nearly kills Damon as well, until an intervention from Elena's spirit, leading an army's worth of unquiet Civil War ghosts (the site of their battle was also the site of a bloody Civil War battle) against him. The ghosts carry a screaming Klaus away, and his current whereabouts (and state of being) are unknown.

Ian and his Plan to Save the World

If you are a fan, you must already know Ian is very involved with the environment!

I wanted to share with you and article I read in wetpaint by Erica Strauss

"Last week, Ian Somerhalder (Damon) hosted an event for the St. Tammany Humane Society.This week? He’s decided to stretch his philanthropic muscles even further by creating a foundation of his own: The Ian Somerhalder Foundation.

In an interview with Vampire-Diaries.net, Ian explained the mission of his new venture: “The Foundation’s long-term activities will aim to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects that positively impact the planet and its creatures.” In other words, he’s aiming to save the world, one tree at a time.

With the project barely off the ground, Ian said he’s more interested in putting together a team of passionate people. He also revealed the specific organizations with which the foundation will be working, including the National Wildlife Foundation, Go Green Mobile Power, and the St. Tammany Humane Society, of course.

s2e11: By the Light of the moon - official synopsys

The CW has released the synopsis for the December 9th episode of the Vampire Diaries, By The Light Of The Moon. The episode was written by Mike Daniels and directed by Elizabeth Allen (Ramona and Beezus, Life Unexpected, Gossip Girl).

TYLER FACES HIS FIRST TRANSFORMATION — As the full moon approaches, Caroline helps Tyler prepare for the transformation he is powerless to stop. While Stefan and Katherine play mind games on one another, Damon and Alaric are suspicious when a stranger named Jules shows up in Mystic Falls, searching for her missing friend, Mason. Elena is frustrated at the lengths Jeremy and her friends have gone to in order to keep her safe. Bonnie and Luca work together on a spell, while still keeping secrets from one another. Finally, Elijah makes an unexpected appearance with an offer that could change everything.

Is Ian the next Superman???

I read this in wetpaint:

We already think he’s super (fly) as Damon Salvatore, but Ian Somerhalder could soon be playing the ultimate “super” role: Superman!

Recent reports have said Superman producer Christopher Nolan and director Zack Snyder are “casting a wide net” while looking for their next Superman — so all sorts of rumors have been swirling around. Among the potential candidates? You guessed it!

Mr. Smolder-Hotter himself.

Production for the movie is slated to begin in June 2011, so we still have a little time to stew about whether our boy will make it to the silver screen or not. He’s up against some pretty hot contenders, including Armie Hammer from “The Social Network” and Joe Manganiello from “True Blood.”

The only catch? The intense schedule for the movie would most likely make it impossible for television actors to take on the project. But Ian is going to be playing Superman, he can doanything... right?

What do you think about this? Can you picture Ian as superman??? I think he will do an awesome job! but I also find it hard to picture him in tights!!!!

Major Cliffhanger before December Hiatus

According to Paul, there will be a major cliffhanger before December hiatus... That wouldnt be something new, would it?

It seems that December and January will be hell for TVD fans!

Start with about 6 weeks without our favourite show and add that major cliffhanger to keep us on edge... OMG! how will i cope???

What will you do during the hellatus???

Will you watch reruns? will you watch and rewatch the episodes on your computer? will you read those TVD books you havent already read? or will you reread them?

I still have to get the Stefan Diaries... and theres another book about Mystic Falls Id like to read... but they arent in Argentina yet so I have to wait! Maybe I can get them next month!

Is Luka actually Klaus???

I hadn't thought of this possibility until Inna told me... Luka uses the same letters as Klaus... so it might be him posing as a warlock! in that case, the only witch would be the father making him look like a warlock and blocking Bonnie from noticing he's a vampire. Or else, Klaus has got witch powers too. The spoilers say that the originals can be absolutely anywhere! so wow they'll be surprised if Luka turns out being Klaus...

But I still hope he isn't! there would be much better men for the role!

More about Klaus

Klaus is a vampire and one of The Originals and their leader. He is mentioned by Rose to Stefan. He is the main antagonist of the second chapter of Season 2 and possibly the third chapter and the third season as well.

Klaus has only been mentioned on the show, but has wanted to break The Sun and Moon curse. The only people that has been known to see him is Elijah and Katherine's family. He was a nobleman in late 15th century England where he met Katherine.

After Katherine escaped and was turned into a vampire, Klaus traveled to Bulgaria where he killed her family as revenge, leaving her alive so that she would have to live with the guilt. Despite her ruthlessness and the fact that she seems to have lost her humanity, Katherine truly does miss and loved her family as seen in Katerina when she was seen crying in the tomb over her family's history book.

Klaus possesses all the powers and weaknesses of a vampire. Due to being an original and their leader, he is known to be the oldest and most powerful vampire in the world but likely not the first vampire in existence. He is more powerful than the rest of The Originals.

In the Books, Klaus was the one who transformed Katherine into a vampire, on the series, it ended up being Rose who played the part, and Klaus and Katherine's backstories have been completely changed from the books.

Who should play Klaus?

I've already suggested that Alexander Skarsgard (aka Eric Northman of True Blood) should play Klaus. He's Sweddish so he would fit the description. Many other people around the web picture him as Klaus, which surprised me. I'm not the only one! But I'm afraid that's not gonna happen =(

Predictions about future episodes

We have to wait two weeks for our favourite show... and I can't stop thinking of that!!! I'm so excited about the next episodes! this show only gets better. There wasn't a single episode that dissappointed me!

So far, the way things are going... I can tell you what I think is gonna happen. Don't take this as a spoiler cause this is only the expression of my own thoughts and ideas... Let's see how much of this comes true.

1. Jeremy and Bonnie will take the moonstone from Katherine (Bad idea) and with the help of the warlocks, they will "despell" it. They will think it was despelled so they might also hand it in to the elders not knowing it still holds it magic. Or else Luka's dad might offer himself to "protect" it but actually he would give it to the elders.

2. The elders will come for Elena when least expected. Damon will turn her against her will. Elena prefers to die before turning into a vampire. She doesn't want to risk her friends lives...

3. Bonnie will realise Luka betrayed her and she will turn to Jeremy.

4. Caroline and Tyler will be getting closer... we might even see some vampire-werewolf sex soon.

5. Klaus will be season 3 big bad and he probably won't show up until the end of this season. I bet he'll look mature but he'll be a hottie anyway. I'd love someone like Eric Northman, True Blood's blonde vamp, to play that role. He'd be a fantastic Klaus... what do you think about it?

Why no Vampire Diaries till December 2nd???

Well guys, these holidays are supposed to be for us to be thankful... but how can we be thankful when we have to wait two weeks to watch our favourite show???

So people, during these holidays we'll just have to be thankful to be able to watch reruns and read the Stefan Diaries if you already bought them!

Back for 2 episodes before Holiday Hiatus

Katherine's past

Finally we got to know more about Katherine's past! I couldn't wait to know more about her and how she was related to Elena!

After Elena bribed her with some blood, Katherine spit up the truth.

She lived in Bulgaria in 1490 where she gave birth to a babygirl out of wedlock. After that, she was sent to England, where she meets Klaus... the eldest vampire on Earth

What katherine didn't know and learned pretty fast was that she was the doppleganger of the girl whose blood sealed the curse that prevents vampires from walking in dailight and werewolves to turn at will... dopplegangers are born to be sacrificed to break the curse.

Katherine was always witty and she tricked Rose and Trevor to be turned into a vampire and escape her fate... she didn't realise that Klaus was so vengeful and he wouldn't forgive her for that. He killed all the people she cared for...

She's been escaping Klaus since those times and that's why she faked her death in 1864.

Now, she was willing to hand in Elena to Klaus so she could be forgiven... or at least that's what she made us believe...

But what if she really isn't the villain she's making all of us believe??? maybe those weren't her true intentions...
